Toulouse set to sign Efraín Elías from Dogos

Efraín Elías is on the verge of joining French giants Toulouse. Reports from Argentina confirm that Elías has everything agreed upon to transfer from Dogos to Toulouse. The move comes on the back of Elías and Los Dogos winning the Super Rugby Americas (SRA) 2024 Final.

Elías played N8 for Los Dogos in the SRA final. He also played flanker during the season as well as captaining Argentina u20’s while playing second-row. He has also previously played for the Argentina XV.

Elías led Argentina to victory over Australia in the opening round of the inaugural Rugby Championship u20. He will lead Los Pumitas at the upcoming World Rugby Under 20 Championship in South Africa.

Toulouse are the reigning European Championship Cup Champions. Santiago Chocobares and Juan Cruz Mallía featured in the title win over Leinster. Mallía is from Jockey Club Córdoba. The same is the origin of Efraín Elías.

Elías is 20-years-old. He is 2.01m tall and weighs 113kg. He is a product of Jockey Córdoba. Despite his noted utility, his probable future is most likely in the second-row. He is well-placed to be a Puma in waiting. Veteran Pumas second-rower Guide Petti debuted for Argentina aged 19.
