Chile’s Men’s test team is to return to Italy in March. Following the historic test match between Italy and Chile in Genoa in November, a similar fixture is being organized for March, 2026. Italy ‘A’ will have home advantage against Los Cóndores in an uncapped fixture.
The Federazione Italiana Rugby (FIR) is scheduling two matches for Italy ‘A’ in early 2026. Italy ‘A’ will face Scotland ‘A’ in February and face Italy in March. The Italy ‘A’ vs Chile match will take place in Italy, at a yet to be determined venue, on March 06.
For Chile, the match against Italy ‘A’ brings the 2026 fixtures up to seven. Los Cóndores will play three home matches in July and three more in November. All six matches will be for the 2026 World Rugby Nations Cup.
Chile’s confirmed 2026 fixtures do not include matches against Tier 1 opposition. In addition, the match against Italy ‘A’ sees the FIR expanding horizons in expanding relations with a Tier 2 union. Italy won the November contest 34-19 in Genoa.

There may yet be further matches for Los Cóndores in 2026. ARN understands that there are ongoing negotiations between Chile Rugby and Rugby Australia. The Wallabies have two test matches confirmed against Los Pumas in Argentina on August 29 and September 05.
The Wallabies’ calendar also sees home matches against Japan on August 08 and August 15 and one against South Africa on September 27. In other words, Australia could add a stop in South America to face Los Cóndores in Chile either before or after the aforementioned two matches against Argentina.
