Fixtures for 2025 u20 Rugby Championship

The fixtures for the 2025 u20 Rugby Championship have been finalized. The u20 teams from Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa will compete over three match dates. The entirety of the competition will be played at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

Argentina will open against hosts South Africa on Thursday, May 01. Subsequent matches see Los Pumitas facing New Zealand on Tuesday, May 06 and Australia on Sunday, May 11.

The 2025 u20 Rugby Championship will be the second edition of the competition. Gold Coast, Australia played host to the inaugural tournament in 2024. Argentina opened with a 25-6 win over Australia. From there Los Pumitas fell 43-20 against New Zealand and 30-28 to South Africa.

A number of Argentina’s 2024 play professional rugby in Super Rugby Americas. Examples include Juan Manuel Vivas, Tomás Rapetti, Faustino Sánchez Valarolo, Luciano Asevedo, Álvaro García Iandolino, Juan Pedro Bernasconi, and Tomás Di Biase. Captain Efraín Elías now plays Top 14 for Toulouse and fullback Benjamín Elizalde plays for Bristol Bears in the English Premiership.
