Los Cóndores Head Coach Pablo Lemoine has unveiled a 33-man roster to represent Chile in the July Internationals. Chile take-on Romania in a home test match at the Estadio Nacional before turning attention to Rugby World Cup Qualifiers. Los Cóndores face Brazil away on July 19 and at home on July 26.

The roster includes professional rugby players based in Chile, France, Italy and the USA. 25 of the 33 players were on the Selknam roster for Super Rugby Americas 2025. The number would be higher had Selknam not experienced a series of injuries. Domingo Saavedra, Martín Sigren, Marcelo Torrealba and Benjamin Videla are notably absent.
The non-Selknam players on the roster are Matías Dittus (Sarlat Périgord Noir, FR), Javier Eissmann (Agen, FR), Diego Escobar (Racing 92, FR), Iñaki Ayarza (Vannes, FR), Lucas Berti (Montpellier, FR), Manuel Bustamante (Los Cóndres 7’s), Rodrigo Fernández (Colorno, IT), and Santiago Videla (Miami Sharks, U.S).
| INJURIES AND MISSING PLAYERS |
Los Cóndores were recently hit with an injury crisis. Three Selknam players suffered serious injuries playing Super Rugby Americas against Los Tarucas. The trio of Martín Sigren, Marcelo Torrealba and Tomás Baguley all suffered a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in their left knees.
Sigren led Los Cóndores at their inaugural Rugby World Cup in France in 2023. He has 38 caps. Torrealba is also an established member of Chile’s roster. He has 22 caps. Tomás Baguley is uncapped and was a rookie in Super Rugby Americas.
Chile are also without scrum-half Benjamín Videla and first-choice outside center Domingo Saavedra, the latter of whom suffered a cruciate ligament injury in his right knee in March. The 35-time capped Chilean is out for the season and his return also remains unconfirmed.
The 32-time capped hooker Augusto Böhme did not make the roster. Selknam used both Salvador Lues and Raimundo Martínez in the position this season. Prop Vittorio Lastra is also notably not included.

Lemoine’s roster is predominantly a continuation of 2024. New additions highlight the needs of the team with injuries and retirements being leading factors. The uncapped players selected are Baltazar Gurruchaga, Benjamín Moreno, Emilio Shea, Santiago Valenzuela, Augusto Villanueva, Rodrigo Araya, Manuel Bustamante and Federico Kennedy.
