Santi Carreras in English Premiership 2024-2025 Team of the Season

Santiago Carreras has been named in the English Premiership 2024-2025 Team of the season. The Argentine fly half / fullback was officially named as the best fullback in England this season.

The Team of the Season was selected by an expert panel consisting of Rachael Burford (RPA), Christian Day (RPA), Jill Douglas (ITV, BBC), Ali Eykyn (TNT Sports), Hugh Godwin (The i Paper), Chris Jones (BBC), Alex Lowe (The Times), Gavin Mairs (Telegraph), Ugo Monye (BBC, TNT Sports), Nick Mullins (TNT Sports) and Claire Thomas (BBC, TNT Sports).

Carreras is the only Americas player named in the 2024-2025 English Premiership Team of the Season. He joins contemporary Gloucester teammate Tomos Williams bin the all-stars selection. Williams was also named as Player of the Year.

The Argentine has finished his time at Gloucester. El Cordobés joined Gloucester from Los Jaguares in 2020. His third professional club will be Bath whom he signed a three-year contract with beginning with the 2025-2026 season.

Before joining Bath, Carreras has an international season ahead of him with Argentina. Los Pumas begin their year on June 20 against the British & Irish Lions in Dublin, Ireland. Carreras is expected to play and thus add to his 53 test caps.

The 27-year-old, Negro is a product of Córdoba Athletic; a traditional sports club from his home town of Córdoba. He made his test debut against South Africa in 2019 and became a starter for Argentina on the wing during the World Cup in Japan. He started at fullback in the historic win over New Zealand in 2020 and was fly half for the 2022 win over the All Blacks in Christchurch and the 2024 win in Wellington.
