Joaquín Moro was a try scorer for the Leicester Tigers this weekend. The Tigers’ were winners over the Bristol Bears; a result that sees the winning team moving up into third position in the English Premiership this season.
In addition to scoring the first-try of the match for the Leicester Tigers, Moro also had a solid game in general, including going close to scoring a second try. Moro played against Pumas back-rower Santiago Grondona who, unlike Moro, was included in Argentina’s recent training camp in London.
Moro had made 22 appearances thus far in the 2025-2026 season for the Leicester Tigers. They have been in the English Premiership, Premier League Rugby Cup and the European Champions Cup. He has scored 8 tries thus far this season.
He joined the Leicester Tigers from Super Rugby Americas (SRA) after the 2025 SRA season. The back-rower was also busy in mid-2025 playing for Argentina. He featured against the British & Irish Lions, England and Uruguay in June and July.
Moro did not feature for Los Pumas in the 2025 Rugby Championship nor in the November Internationals. He is, nonetheless, a Puma in waiting due to his performances in Leicester Tigers’ colors during the 2025-2026 season.
